La Urraca Loca Hostel

Patricia and the staff were so lovely and helpful with arranging tours, bikes, and taxis to San Juan. The hostel itself is beautiful, with birds everywhere and a really authentic feel. They've thought of everything, and there are lots of spots to relax. I especially liked the upstairs area. The double room had the best mattress, and the dorms were comfy too. The dogs and cats were cute. And the passion fruit jam and banana bread! I wish I could have stayed longer. Thank you!

I traveled solo and had such a great time at La Urraca Loca. It's spacious in the six-bed dorm, and the multiple fans kept it from feeling hot. Patricia and the rest of the staff were incredibly patient and helpful, answering all my questions and arranging motorbikes, tours, and other things. The place has a friendly, welcoming, calming vibe. And don't miss Patricia's homemade banana bread. It's seriously the best I've ever had.

We stayed in cabin-style rooms set in a beautiful garden, a lovely place to relax before exploring Ometepe. Patricia was incredibly helpful to our larger group. She arranged taxis, including one back to Managua after we'd left, and shared lots of island recommendations. She even arranged for a local villager to make a birthday cake for our friend, who celebrated her birthday while we were there. La Urraca Loca is one of the best places we've ever stayed.

I wasn't ready to leave after four days at La Urraca Loca. It's a beautiful hostel with a calm, relaxed feel, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really nice, and the toilets and kitchen area stayed clean and tidy. I'd definitely come back and would highly recommend staying here if you're going to Ometepe. Thank you!
