On our first visit, the service was amazing, almost like what you'd get at hotels in Cuba. We were offered help with our luggage and a welcome cocktail as soon as we arrived. Everything was spotless, and they asked what time we'd like breakfast and what we'd like to eat. We said 10:00 a.m., and right at 10:00 a.m. the phone rang to say breakfast was ready. The white sand and beach felt like a dream. I was impressed by the service, which felt unique in Nicaragua. This was our second stay at the hotel. The first time I came with my spouse, and this time I brought my children. We love travelling around the country, and I fell in love with this place's rustic charm. But this visit was very different. They did offer to help with our luggage, but there was no welcome drink. We arrived late, then waited more than two hours after check-in time because they said the room needed inspecting. Much later, they told us it was ready. It was already late, so we dropped our things and went to the beach. The next day, when returning the towels, we saw they were dirty. I took a photo and showed the receptionist. The towels and pillowcases had visible blood stains, which was extremely disappointing and unpleasant. The place is still beautiful and has a lot of potential, and the staff are generally kind and attentive, but cleanliness fell far short this time. I recommend the owner or management supervise the cleaning carefully and make sure rooms, towels, and bedding are properly cleaned and replaced before guests arrive. Our first visit was wonderful, but bringing my children this time turned into a very disappointing experience.

We stayed four nights, beginning with a wedding and ending in total relaxation. The beach is gorgeous, the architecture is beautiful, the food is delicious, and the service was excellent. The roads down from Managua are good, and there are nearby day trip options like Magnific Rock, San Juan del Sur, and Rivas. I'd definitely return and recommend it to friends.

I love Teonoste, especially the fantastic beach and the Bali style cottages. It's such a peaceful escape from the city bustle. Can't wait to go back!

Punta Teonoste has its own cove, so the privacy feels complete and the days are wonderfully quiet. The bungalows are beautiful and private too. Once you're there, everything else slips from your mind. The shared area has spectacular architecture, and it's a lovely place to spend the day and enjoy the chef's delicious dishes, which are real masterpieces. Everything has an easygoing, relaxed, family feel, like being alone in the world.

The place felt calm and relaxing, and with only four other guests it was very quiet. The pool was refreshingly cold on a hot day, while the ocean was cool with strong waves. The Wi-Fi was free and strong. I loved the beachside hotel and the unusual outdoor bathroom. I'm glad the room had AC because it was hot, and I can't sleep with just a fan. The food was delicious, though it took around 30 minutes on average to arrive. The cocktails were okay, but one bartender made them better than another, so if you get Jose, you're in good hands. Only one employee, Derling, and the manager spoke English, so I used Google Translate to help communicate with the rest. They were all friendly and helpful, always smiling. Horse riding was available, though I chose not to go. A great stay if you want to properly relax somewhere tucked away.
