This is a very late review from December 2015, better late than never 🙃. It was one of several stops on our ten-day trip to Nicaragua. A cozy little place, even though the AC in our room didn't work. What I remember most fondly was the plate of warmed fruit, absolutely delicious.

The view is amazing, the pool was well maintained, and we had good WIFI access. We stayed for two months while keeping an eye on our house construction project, in a room with a kitchen and small living area. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful, and over time they started to feel like family. The restaurant food is very good. We highly recommend it!

We loved it so much that we extended our stay, and would've stayed longer if Nicaragua didn't have so many other beautiful places to see. The hilltop setting, 2km from San Juan del sur, is secluded and peaceful, surrounded by nature. The breathtaking view, lovely hosts, refreshing pool, hot showers, a/c, and clean rooms with fresh white sheets and towels made for a great stay. Breakfast was authentic and tasty, and they even have cocktail Happy Hour 🍹 A car comes in handy, but we managed with daytime hitchhiking and cabs at night. We would choose this over staying in town again. The view and everything else are worth it. Thank you for an amazing stay.

The only letdown was dinner: it was good, but felt relatively expensive for what it was. Everything else made us want to come back. The location is beautiful, the rooms are good value, and getting there by car is easy. The owner and staff are very nice. I'd gladly recommend it to friends.

We booked four nights starting April 3rd, but left the next morning. The hotel was absolutely disgusting. Our sheets were stained and greasy, and the bed felt like sleeping on wood. There were ants all over the room. The bathroom was revolting, and the pool was even worse. It looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in over a month. You couldn't pay me to get in it. I also left my apple watch behind. Less than three hours later, when I came to get it, someone had changed my wallpaper and tried to mess with my settings. There's no excuse for that. The staff seemed like they didn't want to do their jobs, especially the woman who checked us in at night. I stayed with my boyfriend and his family. Save your money and don't stay here.
