We felt really welcome and well looked after here. The place is so cozy and calming that if I lived nearby, I’d come in every week, maybe even daily, for a smoothie and a sit-down. The menu is almost entirely vegetarian or vegan, and everything we tried had its own distinctive flavor. The food was delicious, fresh, clean and nutritious. I’d recommend it and will definitely come back.

A really nice place to sit for lunch, indoors or out. The staff are friendly, the food is tasty, and the smoothies are great too. They use fresh, healthy ingredients that go together well.

The owner even gave us a few brownies on the house. The apple pie, whipped cream and brownies all tasted homemade, and were among the best I’ve had while eating out. It’s a very cozy little café, with delicious pastries and great lemonade.

Groenlokaal is a lovely, cozy spot in Alkmaar. It’s a family-run coffee shop serving good tea, coffee and cakes. Make a stop here if you’re visiting Alkmaar!

We had a delicious lunch here, and the service was great. It’s near the Cheese market in Alkmaar, with wonderful decorations that make the inside feel whimsical and inviting.
