My room was large and spacious, easily big enough for four beds, and the property sits in the quiet Dutch countryside just outside Amsterdam, away from traffic. But the setup feels dated. The toilet is separate from the rest of the bathroom, like in 1960s France, and the shower and bathtub share the bathroom, with a curtain around the shower. The electrical outlets are far from the beds, which made charging phones and other devices inconvenient. The property calls itself a 4-star hotel, though that extra star feels generous at first glance. From outside it looks more like a motel. There’s also no on-site restaurant, which is a drawback if you’re just passing through and don’t want to go out.

The tram stop is a short walk away, so it’s easy to reach Amsterdam while staying outside the busy city. We also appreciated the spacious free car park. The hotel was clean and comfortable, with large, well-furnished rooms. Breakfast had a somewhat limited selection, but there was a good mix of hot and cold food to start the day. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks for making our stay enjoyable.

We got stranded in Amsterdam during a bad snowstorm and stayed here. The place was convenient and clean, the staff were helpful, and having a washer and dryer on-site was a big help in that situation. The bar was good, and the bartender was friendly and helpful. I’d definitely stay again. Breakfast was delicious, with the eggs and bacon cooked really well, but the service was a strange setup. An older woman served the freshly made food from behind the counter, kept it covered so you couldn’t see what was available, and portioned it out herself. I’ve travelled quite a bit around Europe, and I don’t think it’s just some local custom that foreigners might not understand. It was still a weird dynamic.

This was the best hotel on my trip to Europe. The ladies at the desk, in the restaurant, and doing the cleaning were such kind, lovely people. The food was delicious, and the breakfast buffet was great. There was plenty of parking too. I highly recommend staying here.

The location felt a bit secluded, especially during the winter. Breakfast service was good. On the first day, the heater wasn’t working, which was a bit of a snafu.
