A-Train Hotel

I had a small room that suited me well, with a really comfortable bed and spotless bathroom. There’s a nice little breakfast in the morning. The hotel is right by the main train station and has a fun train theme throughout. The staff were all helpful and friendly, and the manager was attentive and remembered names. They also let me leave my bag and come back to use the facilities or get things from it during the day, even after checkout. I really appreciated not having to carry it around Amsterdam.

The location made it easy to get around Amsterdam, with the Eurostar terminal and metro about a five-minute walk away. The area is lively, but our room stayed quiet. We had the family suite, with a double bed, two singles, a fridge, kettle, and microwave. The train theme carries through the lobby, reception, and dining area, giving the hotel a lot of charm. Staff were friendly and helpful, and little things like free tea and coffee and being welcome to eat your own food in the dining area made the stay feel inviting. I’d certainly recommend it to visitors to Amsterdam.

We found the staff friendly and professional, always ready to help, and the atmosphere felt welcoming from check-in through checkout. Breakfast was a highlight, with plenty of tasty choices and fresh ingredients. The hotel has a lot of character and charm, and its location makes it easy to explore the city on foot. A really enjoyable stay, highly recommended.

The old building was comfortable, and there’s a great supermarket right next door. We had a yummy breakfast, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our family of four stayed five nights at the A-Train Hotel, across the road from the central train station and within walking distance of the city centre attractions.
