Amsterdam City Bed & Breakfast

Mart was so helpful during our first trip to Amsterdam, including carrying my bag up and down the stairs. My boys and husband seemed a little jealous! We had everything we needed, and the beds were extremely comfortable. We never had to contact him, though it was reassuring to know he was only a call away or downstairs. The split-level apartment let us feel like locals, with shops and restaurants in easy walking distance. The canal right outside felt like a breathtaking family front yard. We’ll remember the friendly Dutch people, chips, Dutch apple pie, beer, museums, Gouda cheese, and walks along the canal, as well as the “Awesome Boutique Apartment” we called home for eight days. When we come back to Amsterdam, this apartment will be at the top of my family’s list of places to stay.

We usually book a hotel for our yearly visit, but decided to try this place instead. It was just right for our short break. The apartment was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the spa bath was a real plus. We’d happily recommend it and are planning to come back next year. I have a couple of suggestions, but they’re not complaints.

Mart was a thoughtful, delightful host, always on hand with friendly advice or help. The location is hard to beat, with Amsterdam’s best just steps away. Be sure to try his restaurant recommendations.

Mart welcomed us warmly and professionally, with chilled champagne, fresh fruit, a well-stocked fridge, and a coffee machine. This is a special gem of an apartment, spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful view over the Singel Canal.
