The garden chairs and table were too dirty for us to use, which is why I gave four stars. Otherwise, this little cabin is lovingly furnished and has all the essentials, plus a lovely view over the water where you can watch the animals. It’s a peaceful spot in Amsterdam. By bike, the city takes about 30 minutes to reach; by car and tram, around 15. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere quiet 😊

Marnix is a brilliant BBQ host, and his mussel soup is delicious. Be sure to ask for some! It’s a great place to stay.

You get the best of both: a charming little house near the city, with enough distance to enjoy some peace and quiet.

A really snug little house right by the water. I’d definitely recommend it.
