The people are what set Andaz Amsterdam apart. The reception, restaurant, and bar teams were warm, professional, attentive, and ready to go the extra mile. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcome and cared for. Their kindness lifts the whole experience, and I sincerely congratulate the team for the work they do every day. The hotel itself has beautiful design, elegance, comfort, and plenty of character. Its central location makes it easy to explore Amsterdam on foot. I travel often and have stayed in many great hotels around the world, and this is one of the most outstanding experiences I've had in years. For me, Andaz Amsterdam is the best hotel in the city, and I can't recommend it highly enough to anyone visiting.

Breakfast was a highlight, with a huge, beautifully presented choice of sweet and savoury food. You could order or help yourself, and everything we tried was delicious and high quality. We also had a very nice lunch at the hotel, with excellent food and a lovely selection made from great ingredients. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. The location is right in the heart of the city. Our room was spacious and beautifully designed, with a very comfortable bed, luxurious duvet and pillows, and a great night's sleep. Andaz Amsterdam by Hyatt felt chic, modern, and stylish while still being comfortable and welcoming. Everything seemed thoughtfully designed and high-end from the moment we arrived. The stay exceeded our expectations, and I'd definitely come back and recommend it.

We spent New Year’s Eve here, and the canal setting made a lovely base for exploring Amsterdam. Most major sights were only a 10-15 minute walk away, yet coming back felt like escaping the busy streets. The hotel has a distinctive mix of playful touches and polished design. From the welcome at reception to checkout, the staff were warm and professional, and they went out of their way with our special requests. It felt personal throughout, and made the trip memorable for my family.

The room was clean, modern, and roomy, and we did like the hotel. The bathroom arrangement may not work for everyone: the shower opens straight into the bedroom, and the sink is beside the bed. It didn't bother us much. Service was courteous, though slow, and the complimentary minibar had very little in it. A lot of little things left us slightly underwhelmed.
