Hotel Atlanta

The rooms feel tired and badly need modernising, though the staff were pleasant. I told the receptionist that a swing door below room 5 was banging all evening and night, making sleep impossible. They said it was noise from the pub and not really the hotel’s problem. Even in Amsterdam, people need to sleep.

I was warmly welcomed on my international trip and allowed to check in earlier than expected. The service was exceptional. The room was a bit small, but that didn’t bother me since I was only there to sleep before heading out for the day. Noise wasn’t too bad, apart from Friday and Sunday nights when it gets busy. If you can handle that, you’ll like this hotel. It’s conveniently near a bar, food, and a shopping center. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

The staff were great, and the room was decent overall. The shower kept shifting between hot and cold by itself. The stairs people mention aren’t bad, just super steep. There are ants, yes. In our room they weren’t too noticeable, but I saw them around the baseboards and bathroom sink. They were tiny, but definitely there. I also saw a mouse coming back into the building through the main door. I didn’t realize this was in a bar area until we arrived. It didn’t bother me, though it might bother some people. Breakfast costs 10€ per person. There’s coffee, tea, juice, milk, cereal, cheese and meat, croissants, bread for toasting, or hard-boiled eggs. For the price, it’s cheap compared with nearby breakfast options, but the selection isn’t large.

We could walk everywhere from here, and the staff were friendly. The room was roomy, had everything we needed, and the beds were comfortable. It was a little noisy, which wasn't surprising with so many bars and restaurants nearby. Since it was a bit cheaper, we felt we got what we paid for. We enjoyed the stay and would come back.
