The food and drink were excellent. It wasn’t cheap, but the quality made it well worth the money. I’ll stay here again. They let me park my motorbike by reception, near the CCTV camera, which felt secure. One thing: there were no USB charging ports, so I had to buy one to charge my phone. Hotels should have these as standard nowadays.

I spent the whole day here for a company training session. The hotel is classic, well maintained and very clean, in a quiet area surrounded by fields. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was nice. There are lots of meeting rooms, with drinks and snacks provided during meeting hours. The main difficulty for me without a car was getting there by public transport.

They wouldn’t let me pray, even though I always pray at these locations when I use the Tesla chargers. Van der Valk places are normally helpful and understanding, so this felt absurd. The guy at the desk was playing games and picking his nose.

The people, service and ambiance were great as always on my last visit before the renovation. The entire hotel is closing from June 30 until the beginning of September 2025 for major work on the lobby and restaurant. I’m sure it’ll be grand afterward, so come by in September, folks. It’s worth it!

Everything else was fine, but we had a really unpleasant experience at breakfast. My husband doesn’t eat in the morning, so I wanted to order just coffee. The waiter said that wasn’t allowed and that both of us had to order something, and that our child would have to as well if we had one. Our child is only a year old!
