I’d seen some harsh criticism in the reviews, but honestly, this was great value for money. The room was clean overall, the bed was nice, and while things are a bit old, it was a good stay. There was a nice Dutch breakfast in the morning, and the metro was about a 10-minute walk away.

A couple of small things could be improved. There was a slight mold smell around the staircases, which is a common issue in north European houses. Also, the toilet in Room 2 could be turned a few degrees to make it easier for tall people to use. Neither was a big enough issue to affect our stay. The owner was polite, friendly, and helpful. The neighborhood was quiet, and our adequate rooms had individual bathrooms and very large, comfortable, clean beds. Each morning we had a fresh-made breakfast that was tasty, generous, and warm. I also appreciated having a fridge. The BnB is outside the city center and getting there involves quite a walk, including a ferry ride, though that may suit some people. I highly recommend it.

We arrived a bit later than agreed, but a quick phone call sorted everything out. The host was nice and friendly. It’s a quiet neighborhood a little way from the city center, and getting around was simple: two subway stops and two bus stops.

Central Station is easy to reach day or night by bus, and the stop is only two minutes from the house. The prices were reasonable, too. Upstairs are the two rooms for rent in a normal-looking but suggestive house. Our room was perfect, with a comfortable bed, big windows, a table, a wardrobe, and a tiny sink. The bathroom was very small, with just a toilet and shower and no windows. Breakfast was plentiful and very nice, with sweet and salty food, milk, coffee, and orange juice. The hosts were very kind, though we didn't have a great relationship with them. I really recommend B&B HutSpot!
