B&B La Festa

The Jordaan is the real draw here: lovely streets, plenty of good cafés and restaurants, and most other areas are walkable. It felt safe and quiet, and there’s a great Italian restaurant right below the rooms. The room itself was clean and basic but fine for a few nights. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom and shower were clean, and there was a little fridge, coffee maker, kettle, and balcony. There’s no air conditioning. Street noise wasn’t an issue, but the people upstairs made a lot of noise at night and early in the morning, with footsteps, banging, things being dropped, and doors slamming. We could also hear everything from the other guest room. I barely slept for three nights, so I couldn’t stay here again. If you sleep through noise or are happy with earplugs, it may work for you, but don’t expect to sleep past 6:30 a.m. This isn’t a typical B&B. It’s a house with two rooms, more like an Airbnb, and breakfast isn’t included, though there are bakeries nearby. There’s no reception, luggage storage, or room cleaning. We didn’t meet the hosts, but communication beforehand was good. The stairs are very steep and narrow, so take care if you have mobility issues.
