We had a really relaxed weekend at Bed in Boat. The room was comfortable, and there was an outdoor spot to sit and unwind while looking out over the water. I only met George and the cat, and both were so welcoming and nice. \m/

A lovely view from the sitting area, nice people, and a great room with a good bed and an awesome bathroom.

It's only our first night and I'm already blown away. I can feel the stress melting away. I'll share more updates later.

The boat was quiet and private, and we definitely recommend this "bed in boat" stay. Getting into town was easy by bus and tram, or by bike and ferry, and the supermarket was about a five-minute walk away. We could leave our rented bikes safely in a designated spot by the boat. One thing to be aware of: the path from the dock to the boat entrance is very narrow, so you need to be comfortable with heights. The curtains let in the light, and even when we went to bed late, we kept waking up very early.

The hosts were very nice, and we had excellent privacy. If you want to spend time in Amsterdam day and night, you can park for free at Sixhaven and take the small ferry over to Central Station. It runs every few minutes around the clock, and the ride is free.
