The gardens in The Brock, Waterland were bursting with spring colour when we visited, and the cherry blossom was amazing. There was plenty of birdlife too. You can take a bike ride, and the bus into Amsterdam takes about 10 minutes. A lovely spot for a couple to share some good experiences. We'd definitely stay again.
We loved the apartment, especially the big windows looking out over the canal behind the door and the farmland across from it. It's cute and cosy, and the hosts are kind and amazing. Their tips and information helped guide us during our visit. The village is outside the city, but Amsterdam is still easy to reach in about 25 minutes: a 600 m walk and a 15 minute bus ride. Buses come regularly, and we often just set off on foot spontaneously. We'd love to come back soon.
A small, picturesque village near the centre. It's about a 5 minute walk and then a 15 minute bus ride to central Amsterdam.
George and Lia were away on vacation, so we didn't get to meet them. The cottage itself was lovely, with a terrace right on the water, and bicycles plus a Canadian canoe were included. Hygiene was adequate.
Sheep, goats, and horses right in the view. That's rural perfection, and a beautiful location.
