B&B City Farmer Amsterdam

If waking up surrounded by nature appeals to you, this is a good place to stay, and it costs less than the city. The room works for two, though I think more people would have a hard time staying comfortably. Getting into town is fairly easy by bus, with several options and a ride of roughly 20 minutes. But the nearest stop is almost a kilometre away, so you do have to walk some. Arriving was the difficult part for us. Don’t come at night if you can help it, since the street has no lights. We wandered around for an hour before figuring it out. Get off at the bus stop, walk back a little, and look for where the smaller side street begins. And watch out for the frogs if they scare you, haha.

The bed was among the most comfortable I’ve slept in on my travels, and the place was spotless. The bathroom sits just outside the room, but it was spacious and never inconvenienced us; they even left bathrobes in case we wanted them. The studio had all the equipment we needed and felt comfortable. The owners were so friendly and welcoming, and the quiet surroundings made it a lovely break from the city. Getting there by bus was easy. We had a wonderful stay and would pick it again if we return.

After a long day, it was lovely to come back somewhere peaceful, close to Amsterdam. The house feels cozy, and you get the whole place to yourself. It looks small from the outside, but is surprisingly roomy inside. Superb!

Coming back to the quiet of the farm after Amsterdam’s busy streets was such a pleasure. We spent four days at this lovely little farmhouse. It was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. A fantastic stay, and we’d definitely return.
