Breakfast was superb, easily one of the highlights for us. We travel all over the world, and this stay really stood out. Our Junior Suite at Hotel De Hallen was spotless and tucked away in a quiet, private area. The room was beautiful and well appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to help. We’ll definitely stay again.

The location made it easy to get around the city, with public transport close by. The room itself was disappointing for our six-day stay: several appliances were broken, and the minibar was missing, so we had to buy things at the front desk that should have been stocked in the room. It might be fine for a short visit, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a longer one. Given the hotel’s reputation and reviews, I’d expected better.

I really liked the neighborhood, especially being right next to the food hall. But be aware that the bathroom has no privacy: its glass door doesn’t close. One wall is also a large window onto the “courtyard,” where anyone can look in.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and we felt very welcome during our three nights at Hotel De Hallen. Breakfast had a small buffet, plus freshly made dishes like omelettes and waffles if you asked. The room was clean, and you can walk to the city centre in about 20-30 minutes.

The location is great for catching trams into central Amsterdam, and the international food hall next door is worth a visit. Breakfast was tasty and good quality. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and it had a TV, kettle, safe, and pod coffee machine. The staff were always friendly and helpful.
