Hotel De Looier

We booked a family room for three nights. It was spacious and clean, with useful tea and coffee facilities. The location worked well, and the airport express bus made getting there easy. Cafes, bars, restaurants, and supermarkets are all close by. We loved Amsterdam and had a great short break with the kids. The downside was being on the ground floor facing the street: every time people came and went, we woke up. It wasn’t too bad with older kids, but could be more of a problem for families with younger children.

The front desk staff were amazing, always ready to help and point me in the right direction. It took me 20 minutes to walk to the train central station. This is a no-frills place, with simple rooms that have a bed, desk, and toilet, but the bed is comfortable. I’d recommend it if you’re on a budget and just need a basic stay. I’m looking forward to staying here again when I return to Amsterdam.

The beds were comfortable, and we both slept well, but they slid around a lot, which wasn’t great for a couple sharing. Everything was very clean, and the concierge was welcoming. It’s a lovely, very central hotel. I’d absolutely stay again.

The staff were the nicest and most helpful I’ve ever encountered in a hotel. The beds were small, even smaller than a twin, but the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was simple and served with care. It’s in a quiet, upscale neighborhood, about a 30-minute walk from the central station.
