Hotel Ix Amsterdam

Merel made sure everything was to our liking, and the suite was cute and really comfortable. I was surprised to find the mini fridge stocked with complimentary drinks. The bed was so comfortable that after a long trip, I had the best night’s sleep in ages. Hotel IX is in a superb location, and we have nothing but good things to say. I can’t recommend it enough!

The coffee bar was well stocked, and the room was clean and cute. Just so you know, the facade in the pictures isn’t the hotel. It’s a small door in a row of shops, right next to HaruHaru. The bathroom is basically open to the rest of the room, so make sure you’re comfortable sharing that much with your companion. The stairs to the landing are narrow and steep, and not easy to manage if you have mobility issues.

The room had a huge photo of the Runsraat streetscape, so we went to see it in person and recreated the picture. That was a cool little touch. We found Hotel IX after searching Google and Hotels.com, and stayed in the Runstraat Suite. The accommodation was great, the location perfect, and the whole experience seamless. Merel was a wonderful host. We have no hesitation recommending Hotel IX.

Merel was a lovely, gracious host, helping with local suggestions, dinner reservations, and even lending us umbrellas for the torrential downpour. She was accommodating and helpful throughout a fabulous stay. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable, clean, and spacious, with all the necessities, plus a coffee maker and stocked mini fridge. The place is centrally located, but tucked away from the hoards of tourists. It was easy to get to everything we wanted to see or do.
