Hotel King's Court

The room was big and very clean, and the maid cleaned every day during our four-day stay. The beds were really comfortable, better than in some four-star hotels, I’d say. The train and tram stations are nearby, so being a little far from the center wasn’t a problem. Breakfast was poor and the same every morning, nothing new :). The bathroom was a bit cold, with no heat source or place to hang the towels to dry.

It’s a quiet spot, with a park by the water just a few minutes’ walk away. The room had a neat old-fashioned look, and the beds and pillows were decently comfortable. There was air conditioning for warm days and heat for cold ones, and the staff and service were nice. A train station and tram stop are around the corner, and a few supermarkets are only a short walk away.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was clean, substantial, and very good. Our room had a fridge, kettle, and hairdryer, with a large modern bathroom and clean, comfortable beds. The hotel felt newly furnished. The tram gets you to the center in about 10 minutes. Supermarkets are a seven-minute walk away and open on Sundays. The airport train takes seven minutes to the first stop, and you can buy public transport tickets at reception. We stayed a week and would gladly return on our next trip to Holland.

The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated, and the feather pillows were great, the kind you don’t seem to find at other hotels. Breakfast was good value for the price, much like other hotels in the same range. The location suited us because we like walking, though it’s less convenient if you want to spend all your time in the center. Getting there by tram is no trouble if you don’t mind the ride. Some staff seemed stressed and unfriendly, and acted unprofessionally toward guests when things got busy. The outside area needs a tidy-up, and there’s no outdoor seating, which isn’t ideal at a non-smoking hotel. You get what you pay for, but there’s definitely a tense atmosphere. I didn’t find it very relaxing.
