Hotel Mosaic City Centre

The location was spot on. The tram was a minute away and came regularly, and you could walk to central too. Staff were warm and helpful, even when we arrived past 11pm; whenever I had a question or request, they looked into it. I was nervous after reading reviews once I'd booked, but we had no problems. I booked on a whim after another place I'd chosen looked rundown and badly located, and ended up having a wonderful time. The room was immaculate, the bathroom was great, and the view was amazing. Some might find the room size and bathroom a little small, but I've stayed in much tinier places, and this felt a good size for my partner and me, even a bit bougie. The price was affordable for my budget and I didn't feel ripped off. Sorry about the bad pictures, I took them from a video.

The power went out on our last night, so our phones and power bank didn't charge. It couldn't really be helped, and the staff were very apologetic. The stay was clean and spacious, the location was great, and we appreciated having a coffee machine. Reception were helpful and kind at all hours. I'd come back.

I paid €1,861 for five nights and the family room was so poor I considered looking for another hotel. I booked with Hotel Mosiac, but with three hotels in the same block I'm not sure whether we were put in a different one. The room was very small, dirty, and nothing like the pictures. It also had no closet for clothes, even though one was advertised. How is a family meant to stay five nights like that? The shower had no hot water after 10:00am. Housekeeping was bad too: they didn't clean the room or check the toilet supplies. The bathroom had no ventilation system, which I'm sure is against regulations. At that price, you'd expect a clean, decent-sized room.

The room and bathroom didn't meet the standard I expected. I complained, but the hotel didn't help, though Aro at reception was exceptional and did her best. I expected either a different room or some money back, and I'm still waiting for the compensation. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you want to be comfortable.
