The room was cramped, with barely enough space for luggage, and the walls were so thin we could hear people in other rooms. Hope your neighbors are considerate. The bathroom is shared by everyone as well. Getting here from Amsterdam Central is easy, and the staff are attentive and helpful with questions about food, SIM cards, and other things.

The room was fine, but the bed bugs definitely weren’t. I found photos of them today, and they blamed the problem on the previous visitor.

Back in 2013, around midnight, my train pulled into the station. I’d run away from my father’s home in CH after spending my last money on a one-day ski lift ticket for the southern glacier. Someone on the street pointed me toward this hotel, and finding the entrance turned into an adventure. A man with an iguana greeted me from a peeling, revolting desk chair. It cost 27€ a night. We hauled the bags up steps that were almost vertical, then found a room with a street-facing window, a cot, and a table. Not one wall had a proper right angle. There was a bin to shit in, and I showered with some mineral peeling gel from across the street. A truly unique experience.
