Hotel V Fizeaustraat

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and it was nice to have tea and coffee available. The receptionist was kind, too. Thanks for a great stay, I’ll definitely be back. One small thing, I’d clean the facade.

We stayed at Hotel V just after New Year’s and had a lovely time. The room was spacious and nice, and the hotel was very quiet. The staff were super friendly, and we appreciated having a Nespresso machine and mini-fridge in the room, amenities that felt very American. It’s about a 10-minute walk from Amsterdam Amstel station. The hotel is a little out from the centre and some of the places we wanted to visit, but it was very accessible. The metro and trams covered all our needs, so we didn’t take a taxi except to the airport because we had so much luggage. We’d highly recommend it.

The rooms were amazing and the beds lovely. At 6’7, I was glad I could lie down without ducking or squeezing into the bed, it was made perfectly for someone tall. The receptionists were lovely, and one even gave me another handful of free coffee after I’d gone through all the room’s supply. It’s about a ten-minute walk from the station that takes you to the centre. I’d 100% stay again.

The hotel has a cool vintage feel, though we couldn’t try the restaurant because it was closed when we wanted to go :)) Our room had two chairs that seemed to be there for looks. They were both really hard. After the first cleaning, the trash bag was missing and we had no towels. Our sheets weren’t changed during the whole week, and the ones on the bed had a hole in them.
