We arrived at Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Maurits at the Park on Friday, May 8th, to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. From check-in to checkout, we felt welcome and well cared for. The receptionist greeted us warmly, took us to the living room for coffee, explained the facilities and nearby area, then showed us to our room. It had been prepared with a “Happy Anniversary” balloon, champagne, a pastry and a handwritten card from the team. The room was spacious, elegant and beautifully decorated, and the bathroom had all the luxuries we could wish for. At 5:00 PM we enjoyed a complimentary cocktail at the bar, then had dinner at VanOost. The food was outstanding, and each wine paired perfectly with its course. When we came back, electric candles and rose petals had turned the room into a romantic setting. The next morning, the breakfast staff welcomed us warmly and congratulated us again. One waitress overheard our plans to visit the Rijksmuseum and explained exactly how to get there. That’s service with a smile. Everything was spotless, elegant and well maintained, and every staff member was friendly, professional and eager to help. Special thanks to the concierge, Stefan, for his dedication and attention to detail, which helped make our anniversary weekend unforgettable. We’ll certainly return and would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious, welcoming and memorable stay in Amsterdam. Thank you to the whole team for a celebration we’ll cherish.

I don’t think I’ve ever written a hotel review before, but I checked in today and couldn’t wait to share this. What a wonderful stay. The room was immaculate, beautifully designed and had a lovely view that made it hard to leave. The hotel has a calm, beautiful atmosphere with just the right mix of luxury, comfort and charm. The staff really made it special. Everyone was kind, warm and attentive, and their genuine hospitality made me feel like they were truly happy to have me there. I noticed the small thoughtful gestures too, and they made a difference. It’s rare to find such lovely surroundings and heartfelt service together. I’m leaving with wonderful memories and a grateful heart, and already looking forward to returning. Thanks to the whole team for making my stay so memorable. You’re a credit to this hotel. The park view made the room feel so calm, and getting into central Amsterdam was easy by tram. I’d worried the hotel might be too far out, but two tram lines stop right across the street, so it really wasn’t. We had delicious breakfasts with plenty of choice and great coffee, and the cocktails at Fitz's Bar were inventive, strong, and unlike anything else. The staff were lovely, the service was great, and both our room and the shared spaces were spotless. We’d absolutely come back. Great value and clearly well managed.

The service is what stayed with me most. Everyone was warm, professional, and thoughtful, and the staff really went out of their way to make me feel special. The hotel is in a great spot for exploring, with good connections around the area. It’s also a beautifully restored historic building, renovated and designed to a very high standard, which gives the place a distinctive, elegant feel. I’d happily return and recommend it to anyone looking for this kind of stay.
