ibis Styles Amsterdam City

The price was great for the quality. The rooms were comfortable and clean, with good air conditioning and heating, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. It’s close to supermarkets and beside a market with good international food. I’ve had a few sketchy stays in Amsterdam, but this wasn’t one of them.

I don’t understand all the negative reviews. We stayed in a basement room and had no issues at all. It was clean and comfortable, and the shower was amazing and so relaxing. The staff were kind and really helpful. The location is perfect, with a tram stop about a three-minute walk away that can take you anywhere. It was worth the price, and I’d stay here again!

There’s lots of good food nearby, and the tram stop right by the hotel gets you quickly to most popular tourist spots. The walls are thin, so you can hear people in nearby rooms and sleeping was tough. Earplugs would help. For what I paid, it was worth it.

The location is good and the staff are nice, but otherwise the stay was disappointing. The comfort was like a regular Ibis, or even an Ibis budget, the breakfast was modest, and the rooms were small with little furniture. The elevator broke while we were there, so we had to climb a narrow staircase to the fourth floor. Worst of all, the room had insects, possibly bedbugs, and one of us was bitten.
