Tommy knows a lot about where to eat and go, and I was made to feel welcome. Staying here was a unique experience I'm glad I had, but there were some awkward moments. When we brought food in, we were encouraged to eat in the lounge. Tommy's dog did its business on the floor the night we ate there, which put me off a bit. We were also complained about by other people on the boat for noise. I think we hadn't realised how quiet you're expected to be. We heard noise too and wouldn't have complained, but when we did complain, Tommy investigated and explained why their noise was okay. I didn't feel we got the same consideration. Tommy asked my daughter to tell us to keep the noise down, and she did. Later, as I came up from the room, Tommy was greeting new guests and chinned me in front of them. I was mortified, with everyone looking at me. Embarrassed doesn't cover it. I've worked in hospitality a lot of my life and know that's a no-no. I had things I wanted to say, but afterwards I didn't even want to be around him. Sorry Tommy, that's a major strike for me.

The owners are super nice, the location is perfect, and there's a great terrace on the boat. Showers and toilets are clean. The rooms, though, are tiny. In the 4-person rooms, you can't sit upright in the lower bed, and if more than one person is moving, you have to coordinate because there's so little space between beds. The window is tiny too, so moisture builds up if you leave a towel in the room. It's a cool experience for a day or two, but I'd find it too inconvenient for a longer stay. Maybe the 2-person rooms are better, I don't know.

The rooms are compact, so make sure cozy bunk beds are what you're after. I liked them, and the rooms were clean and well maintained. There's lots of shared space, plus chairs and tables on deck for good weather. On a rainy day, there are plenty of games and books on bord. You'll probably meet the other travellers staying there. It's a lovely boat with very nice people ready to help, and the staff gave me good recommendations for places to go. I had a wonderful time and will definitely come back!

For a boat, the service is awesome. The staff were perfect and very kind, and breakfast was good. We arrived late, so they gave us instructions for self check-in. Everything was clean, and there was hot water even in each room. I'd recommend it. Four stars only because the rooms are too narrow, though that's understandable on a boat.

The hosts were kind and accommodating, and helped create a great atmosphere on board. The homemade breakfast was especially good. The boat is an unusual way to enjoy Amsterdam, and it stays still, so sleeping was no problem; we weren't cold at night either. The rooms are small but comfortable and clean. It's easy to find, in a practical spot about a ten-minute walk from the centre. I'd recommend this place to anyone spending a few days in Amsterdam.
