The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the location in the heart of Amsterdam made it easy to walk to the main attractions, shops and restaurants. Room service and cleanliness were disappointing at times, though. The hotel needs to give those areas more attention, because with better care on those details our stay would have been much better.

Michael, one of the duty managers, was especially warm and helpful, and the whole team went out of their way to organize trips and suggest things to see and do. There was a slight misunderstanding about our room, through no one's fault, and the front-of-house staff handled it brilliantly. We were there for a weekend celebrating our wedding anniversary, and it was a memorable stay from start to finish. The hotel is well placed near the centre, and breakfast had a great mix of local dishes and familiar favorites. Many thanks to everyone.

We had to cancel our trip after two last-minute COVID diagnoses, so we couldn't stay. We understand the booking was non-refundable, but NH Collection showed no understanding even after we supplied doctor's notes. They didn't offer a credit for a future stay either. Our other reservations and flights gave us full refunds or future booking vouchers, but this company wouldn't help. They suggested booking the flexible rate next time, though that can only be changed up to one day before the stay. So if you have to cancel at the last minute to protect public health and be considerate of others, they still won't assist. I'd probably choose somewhere more accommodating and helpful.

The staff were warm and welcoming, and gave us plenty of tips about places to visit and how to get around. We arrived early from our flight and were able to check in early. We hadn't expected an upgrade or complimentary chocolate for our special occasion, but the room was immaculate, with treats left by the bedsides each day. Those details are why I'd recommend the hotel and stay again. There was a heating issue, which the team dealt with quickly by bringing us a heater. NH Flower Market is central and close to most attractions. After three nights, I was extremely pleased with the service and the overall stay.
