Numa Amsterdam Vondelpark

I loved the design and location, but the high price made the lack of service even more disappointing. Pretty place, but the advertising was misleading. This didn’t feel like a “serviced” apartment. I asked customer support the day before arrival whether someone would be there to help and they confirmed it. When I got there, nobody was around. The onsite lockers only fit small bags, so my large suitcase wouldn’t go in. There was no back room or anyone to ask, and I had to take a cab to a storage place 10 minutes away and pay extra. The room wasn’t very clean. Some towels had mystery stains and all the cupboards were dusty, so I washed everything again and wiped down the whole place myself. The balcony door handle kept falling off too. After about five minutes in the shower, the hot water would cut out. When I reported it, chat support first blamed me, saying maybe several people had showered, even though I was alone. I insisted that they send someone to check. That person said everything looked fine. Eventually they admitted the boiler “goes to sleep” and told me to run the hot water for five minutes to wake it up. I couldn’t just shower whenever I wanted. They offered 20% off a future stay as compensation. I’ll never stay with Numa again, so that’s no use to me. I would at least have expected a partial refund. Don’t waste your money.
