The price was low, especially for this neighborhood, and check-in was quick and straightforward. We stayed in April with my wife. The room was small, in the building next door rather than the main one, and the bed was narrow. The TV could turn toward the bed, the shower pressure was very good, and the safe worked without trouble. The steep stairs are manageable if you’re sober. An administrator met us at reception and calmly explained how to find the room. We asked about buying flower festival tickets online, but he tried something on the computer and said it wasn’t working. Some towels were dirty, and the bed linen needs replacing. The walls are thin, so noise carries between rooms. There was no direct way to contact reception, and noisy neighbors, who seemed to be Hindu, disturbed us one night. Checkout was easy, and they let us leave our luggage and were kind.

I took a chance on this place because it was the cheapest we could find, despite the bad reviews, and was pleasantly surprised. It's right in the heart of Amsterdam, in a touristy area with restaurants nearby. The room was clean, with comfortable beds, clean towels, and enough space to move around. I especially liked the modern toilet. We weren't expecting anything fancy for the price, but it felt worth it. The stairs are tiny and steep, so I wouldn't recommend it for wheelchair users or older guests. For backpackers, couples, or adult friends, it's a decent option. The staff were great, friendly, and very accommodating.

I’d read a lot of bad reviews and hesitated to book, but my stay was really good. The staff were very friendly, and though the room wasn’t large, it was comfortable, with windows and a private bathroom. The location is perfect, about five minutes from Centraal station.

We pointed out the dirt, but nothing was cleaned during our three-day stay. The receptionist seemed to be on drugs, and the cleaning staff wouldn't even return a greeting. Hotels in Amsterdam seem not to care what guests write in reviews, since tourists keep coming anyway. Raising room rates by 400% depending on demand is outrageous. More than €360 for one night is absolutely outrageous.
