Park Centraal Amsterdam, part of Sircle Collection

I loved how easy it was to walk to Museum Quarter, Vondel Park, and a main tram line. My room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely canal view across the street, and that beautiful shower was such a relief after a long day walking around the city. The reception team were friendly and helpful from the moment I checked in. I used the laundry service, which made packing at the end of my trip easier, and ordered room service from Momo on my first night. The vegetable bento box was a 10/10, five stars, DELICIOUS! When I’m back in Amsterdam, Park Centraal will be my home away from home.

The bed was very comfortable and the lobby was nice, but the stay was not pleasant. The rooms look unappealing, feel low quality, and are poorly laid out. Staff were pleasant enough, though the service was weak. I asked at 10am for my room to be made up and put the sign on the door, but it still wasn’t done by 3pm. Construction started outside my window early in the morning. When I asked about compensation, they resisted before finally refunding a tiny charge. The gym was closed for renovation without warning, and no work was happening in there. It’s expensive for what you get.

The location is excellent, and the staff were welcoming, pleasant, and helpful. Breakfast was very good, and the bed was comfortable with clean sheets. The room itself is comfortable, though the design feels dated; the shower and bathtub weren’t well maintained, and some things were broken in Room 231. Housekeeping came very late each day, the elevators were slow and inconvenient, and the Wi-Fi barely worked. I ran speed tests and found it extremely slow. Thanks you!

The beds and bedding were really comfortable, and our street and canal view upgrade was worth it. We’d read about street noise, but it didn’t bother us. My Mom uses hearing aids and was fine without them, and I slept well too. Just remember there are no USB ports, though there are plenty of regular outlets, so bring enough converters. I also bought an EU phone charger at a store. We stayed six nights, and from the sunflowers in the vestibule and automatic double doors to the lobby, it felt like home. A special thank you to all the kind, helpful staff: the front desk attendants, bar tenders, housekeeping, and the Momo wait staff. Sophie at the front desk was especially lovely. Meeting her will brighten your day and leave you smiling. We were delighted with our stay at Park Centraal in Amsterdam.
