The room had no working air conditioning during 30-degree weather, the shower head was broken, and some of the lights didn’t work. Staff were rude and unfriendly, lied to us about room availability and reservations, and tried to overcharge us because local prices and the website prices differed. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel. You’d have a better chance of finding a nicer place with nicer staff at a hostel.

The check-in woman was fantastic, but the rest of the staff were awful, especially the rude morning staff. Nobody even said good morning or smiled. Because of the staff, I won’t stay here again and suggest going elsewhere. The room had stained carpets and a musty smell, and the bed was only good for sleeping. You could hear everyone in the hallway, even when they whispered. The door handles and bathroom floors felt slimy. Breakfast was very poor for the extra price.

Nothing fancy, but it’s a nice, clean hotel in a pleasant area, with good beds and showers. A tram stop is just steps away, and you can get to Dam in a few minutes. There’s free tea and coffee in the lobby around the clock, and smoking isn’t allowed.

I hadn’t stayed in this part of town before and was surprised how quickly the tram right outside the hotel got me to Dam Square. The place was friendly, comfortable, and clean. The bathroom was a bit minky, but nothing to worry about. Staff were friendly and efficient, so I’ll definitely stay here next time I’m in Amsterdam.

We stayed in a family room that was spacious, very clean, and had a nice bath. The receptionist was really friendly, and there’s a roomy lounge where you can relax, play pool, and help yourself to free tea or coffee. It’s easy to reach by tram or metro, and the tram stop is a one-minute walk away.
