Singel Apartment

Getting here from the train station was easy, about a ten-minute walk, and check-in went smoothly. Our room and bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable, and it stayed quiet. We stayed here on our last Amsterdam trip and would book it again.

A cozy, comfortable little place near the train station. My room was tiny, tucked under the roof, but I liked it.

The three-person room overlooking the canal was a dream, and our second stay at Singel was even better than the first. It’s in a calm part of Amsterdam, right on the Singel canal, while still only a short walk from the train station. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful. We love staying here and plan to choose it whenever we come to Amsterdam.

I had a very upsetting and frightening stay. After housekeeping entered my room, €550 went missing from inside my clothes, where I had kept it securely. It disappeared after that service. From then on, I felt afraid for my safety throughout the stay. I reported it to management and the police, but the hotel only sent a cold, generic email. I saw no real concern, accountability, or meaningful action. The hotel has inadequate security and oversight, and guest safety doesn’t seem to be a priority. I’d strongly urge anyone considering a stay, especially with valuables, to think twice. I did not feel safe here.
