It’s a nice place, though it feels more like a hostel. The hotel itself is comfortable enough, and the prices are good. It’s very handy, about ten minutes from the train station, and you can walk slowly to Museumplein in around 35 minutes. Being so central also means there’s a lot of noise, even after midnight. Still, it’s a good place to stay.

The bar was so good that I skipped breakfast. The hostel is right in the centre, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and practical with comfy beds. I’d go back tomorrow if I could.

We spent three nights in a room for two. The central location was great, and the room was a decent size, although its bathroom was really tiny. The shared bathrooms were larger and better. The bed suited one average-sized person, but was a bit difficult for a big guy like me; the pillow was decent. For 7 Euros, the continental breakfast was amazing, with cold cuts, cheese, juices, coffee, bread, cereals, and delicious croissants. A good option if you want to stay somewhere central.

My week had been super stressful, but the staff made my stay so much better. I can’t thank them enough for the amazing service, and especially RANA ❤️ I started out in an 8-person mixed room, which wasn’t quite what I expected, so I asked about changing to a women’s room. None were available, but Rana kindly upgraded me to a 4-person mixed room. After my first night, I found a sweet note saying they’d moved me to a women’s room, and I was so glad!! The rooms are neat and clean. As with any hostel, I’d bring a sleeping mask, and you can pick up free earplugs at reception. The neighborhood might seem a bit intimidating at first, but it really isn’t bad. TY TY TY 🫶🫶🫶

You can hear people talking outside sometimes, so light sleepers might want the free earplugs from reception. Otherwise, the room was comfortable and clean, with curtains, a blanket, and a towel for each bed. There are male and female group room options, and having a shower and toilet in the room was a plus. The staff at reception and in the restaurant were very nice and helpful. The location is hard to beat: about a ten-minute walk from Amsterdam Central station, close to the royal palace museum and a lively street full of restaurants and bars. It’s near many places, including the famous red light district next to the old Church. There are lockers for your belongings before check-in. Choose a size and duration, pay, then use the screen to select an available locker and set your own PIN. Under the bed there’s also a large steel box for your things. Bring a padlock, or buy one at reception for 5 euro.
