Hotel Luxer

The lobby had a pleasant feel, and entry was locked around the clock for hotel guests, which made it seem quite safe. Staff were friendly, and there was a great coffee machine available 24 hours alongside snacks. We always had a macchiato latte in hand. We spent five days and four nights right in the heart of Amsterdam, with restaurants, bars, and convenience stores all nearby. Amsterdam Central Station was about a five-minute walk, as was pretty much everywhere else.

Our rooms faced the back, so street noise wasn't an issue. The hotel sits right in the middle of the action, with lots of good restaurants nearby, a laundromat down the street, and Central Station a five-minute walk away. We found it reasonably priced and would book again. Just don't expect fancy, updated decor. Everything worked and felt comfortable, and our sons were delighted with the snack bags we were given when we left. The staff were warm, helpful, and welcoming, and the whole family felt safe. There's a front desk staffed 24 hours, plus a charming bar and coffee station, with croissants in the morning and sweets and snacks available all day. The rooms could use an update, but the beds and linens were very comfortable. The air conditioning was great: after days of 27-29 degree weather, it was lovely to come back to a cool room.

I travel a lot, and this was one of the best places I've stayed. The central location was just right, without being noisy. The staff were extremely helpful, and the room was cleaned and the towels changed every day. There was always coffee and cookies in the lobby. Thanks so much.

There are plenty of places to eat right outside Hotel Luxer, and all the tourist sights are walkable. Amsterdam Centraal Station is just a four-minute walk away. The staff were attentive, helpful, and accommodating. Complimentary coffee, tea, and water were available 24/7, with delicious croissants in the morning. I loved my stay.
