Stayokay Amsterdam Stadsdoelen - Hostel

The room was alright, though the beds were so close together that you could hear everyone, and there weren’t curtains for privacy. A lot of us hung sheets or blankets around our beds instead. Still, the staff were lovely and accommodating, and the amenities made the hostel feel cozy and welcoming. The location’s fantastic, about a 15-minute walk from Amsterdam Centraal and close to other spots too. It took several attempts across different platforms to reach them before my stay, but once they got back to me, they were really helpful. I’d stay again and hope the bed privacy gets sorted. The rooms were tidy, well-kept, and very clean, and the hygiene standards really stood out to me. I was comfortable throughout my two-day stay. The staff were friendly and cooperative, always greeting us with a smile, which made the place feel even more welcoming. I had a great time here and would recommend it to anyone after a clean, friendly, well-run hostel.

The common areas are nicely decorated, and the rooms and bathrooms were comfortable and very clean. Staff were kind and helpful too. It’s easy to get around on foot, with public transport close by, so the location works really well. A really good Amsterdam pick, probably one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in.

I stayed three nights in April and found the place clean and comfortable, with friendly staff. The bathroom areas were roomy and well maintained, with sinks, toilets, and showers. The room itself was spacious, with five bunk beds, comfortable mattresses, clean linen, and lockers for storage. Bring a lock for your things, and your own towel. There was good ventilation and fresh air. It’s about 20 minutes from the central station, with major sights within walking distance and transport nearby. Reception stays open around the clock, and there’s key-card entry, an elevator, a bar, and breakfast. After checking out, you can leave your bags in the luggage room. I’d definitely recommend it.
