The best kind of vacation is when you come somewhere new and it feels like home: apartment "Studio Recar" is located in Amsterdam. This apartment is located in walking distance from the city center. You can take a walk and explore the neighbourhood area of the apartment — Vondelpark, Stedelijk Museum and Van Gogh Museum.

Recar is a really friendly, original guy, and the guesthouse itself is lovely, clean and beautifully done in red, black and white. It's an authentic Dutch house with three floors. The location is great for the museums and city centre, and Amsterdam is a lovely place to visit from here. One catch, street parking is €36 a day, so getting there by train makes sense.

Six days just wasn't enough, I'll be back. Apartment number 2 was so spacious and comfortable, and everything was very, very clean. Mr. Recar was a kind, wonderful host. The beds were really comfortable, and breakfast was plentiful, with the fridge stocked and food replenished each day. There were eggs, ham, juice, delicious cheese, yogurt, fresh fruit and tomatoes, plus enough to put together a lovely sweet or savory breakfast. The location made getting around easy, with several tram lines and the airport bus close by. The city centre is a short walk away, and Leidseplein has plenty of restaurants and shops. Ten out of ten, it felt like home. Luxury.
