SWEETS - Kinkerbrug

The layout makes the place feel more spacious than I expected, and they’ve thought of the small things too, from dish soap to a Bluetooth speaker and corkscrew. It’s beautifully decorated with an authentic feel. A really distinctive way to experience Amsterdam, even if you live here. I’d recommend it to locals and visitors alike.

We loved every moment in this little gem. The calm of being close to Amsterdam’s canals is what made the stay feel so special, and the house itself has plenty of character. Spending time in this charming space made us feel like we had our own little corner of Amsterdam with us. Staying in the 308 Kinkerbrug bridge house gave us a relaxed way to connect with the city. We’re sure that any of the 28 bridge houses of the Sweets Hotel offer a memorable perspective on Amsterdam’s canals.

We really liked the room’s design, especially its original details. The books, board games and music were nice extras for when we felt like staying in. There’s traffic, including trams, crossing the bridge, as you’d expect in the city centre. The Kinkerbrug puts the city’s highlights within easy reach, and there are lots of restaurants and bars in the neighborhood too. Having our own little house in the middle of the city was a wonderful experience.

This is part of a nearly 100-year-old bridge in central Amsterdam, so trams, cars and people pass over it, and the bridge itself moves. My wife and I loved staying here, but you should know it isn’t a quiet spot. You’ll sleep when the bridge is ready to sleep, and it does sleep! There’s history here, in a unique, lively city, and being open to that lets you feel part of it during your stay. The suite has the expected comforts, like a comfy bed, A/C and complimentary soap.
