The view is great and the concept is great too. The room wasn’t dirty, but there were more than 15 mosquitoes, four giant spiders and other insects. With a tram passing and the room on a busy bridge, it’s not a good place for a proper night’s sleep. It could work for one night to enjoy the canal view with some music, wine and cheese.

It was easy to get to the house, and it was spotless when we arrived. The location worked well, just outside the busy city but easy to reach by tram, with a park nearby for walks and relaxing. The tram noise was a slight irritation, though we weren’t in the bridge house during the day. We had a great time in the city.

It was lovely watching boats on the canal over morning coffee, and the neighborhood has easy tram access, restaurants, parks and shops. The bridge house was comfortable and spacious, with fun details like the bedroom porthole. SWEETS staff were helpful and easy to communicate with, and we’d love to try other bridge houses on our next trip. A couple of things to know: the tram is loud, though SWEETS provides earplugs. The curtains are thin, so you can see a bit outside, but the sleeping area is private behind blackout curtains.

The bridge house felt warm, clean and almost brand new, with every detail taken care of. We were made welcome straight away, and the handwritten card made our stay feel extra special. We only stayed one night, which was much too short for me. I could happily spend a whole week there. The tram passes close by, but hey, that’s Amsterdam!

We had such a good time. I’ve never stayed anywhere this cozy, actually. The room was tidy and nicely decorated, and they left us a cute welcome card. It has everything you need: a speaker for music, board games, a fridge for your own drinks, a really nice shower and, of course, the Japanese toilet. Would highly recommend!
