The Hendrick's Hotel

We came to Amsterdam on a Viking River cruise, and they usually tell everyone to stay at the Movenpick by the cruise port. I looked at other options and found The Hendrick's. Its rate was lower and its rating was better, so we decided to try it. What a delight. We were able to check in early, though you should always ask without expecting it, and the staff were the best. They shared tips, made us cappuccinos, and were pleasant throughout. The room was gorgeous and the location perfect. Breakfast cost extra, but was worth it. 10/10, highly recommend!

The surroundings are lovely and everything is convenient at this beautiful hotel in a great location. The staff made the stay special: they were kind, attentive, and always ready to help. I’d definitely come back.

I left my expensive diamond earrings in the room at the end of our week and didn’t realize until I was boarding the plane. I called the hotel, and they searched right away, telling me within 10 minutes that they’d found them. They arranged to return the earrings to me in Canada without hesitation. I can’t say enough about how well every person there treated us. The staff were exceptionally caring, respectful, friendly, and helpful, the best hotel staff, period. The room was very clean and had everything we needed, but it was tiny compared with North American hotel rooms. If room size isn’t a concern and the experience matters to you, this is a must-stay in Dublin. I highly recommend it.

We stayed in a large double with a view of the canal/river in front of the train station before our river cruise. The rooms are all different in this lovely boutique hotel. Ours was fresh, clean, and top quality. Service was friendly, very helpful, and English-speaking. The welcome Hendricks gin and tonic was delicious, with juniper berries and cucumber garnish. Breakfast was perfect, with custom orders included in the price. If you want a 4 star + hotel near the train station, this is fantastic.
