We had room 6, Turkish Delight, which was quirky and decorated in its own style. The shower was great and the towels were soft. There’s a mini bar with drinks and snacks at reasonable prices. Guests get a discount at the bar downstairs all day, and you can smoke in the rooms too. All the staff were really friendly. Loved our stay and will be back soon. :)

We stayed in the Sailors Cabin, and it was really clean and smelled fresh, with no smoke smell at all. Being able to smoke in the room with the window open is a huge bonus, and the relaxed feel is exactly what I’ve been looking for over the last 7 years. I’ll definitely stay here whenever I visit. I only wish I’d asked them about the apartments I’ve read reviews about.

The continental breakfast was filling, and the staff were lovely. We slept brilliantly in a very comfy bed. Reception is in the Bones and Company bar next door. The only downside was hearing the cleaner early in the morning, which woke us at 7:30am.

The room was dirty and things were broken everywhere. The place is closing two days from today, and it shows. When we arrived to check in, we were told several times that they were closed. I eventually got someone to hear me out and understand I was a guest. They handed me a key and asked for my passport as collateral. Maybe it used to be a nice place, but it isn’t now.

The hotel is still here, along with a bar and lounge, and the staff were friendly. They serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. There’s a smoking room at the back, and it was packed both times I visited. The old coffeeshop has moved to Niewmarkt square, which I didn’t get to visit on this trip.
