Hotel Twenty Eight

The staff were so welcoming and ready to help whenever we needed anything. Getting around was easy too, with tram and bus stops right across the street. The main tourist areas were about 10-20 minutes away by public transport, Central Station around 30 minutes, and the airport just 15-20 minutes away. At checkout, we also learned the hotel is dog-friendly, which is a nice extra if you’re travelling with a pet. Our apartment was roomy and comfortable, with a very clean room and everything we needed in the bathroom. The sauna and gym were better than I expected, and the self-service bar was a fun idea, even if it took me a moment to work out which drinks were which and how much they cost. Housekeeping comes every three days, which sounds fine, but we’d run out of towels and bin space by day two, so a more frequent refresh would have helped. I’d happily stay again.

The private sauna booking each night was a big plus, and the gym is excellent for a hotel of this size. Our studio was spotless, spacious, and really comfortable, with a kitchen and sitting area that made it feel like an apartment. The location in Amsterdam is great, too. Staff were attentive and friendly, and there were free pastries to take at check-in. Really good value. I’ll stay here again next time I’m in the city.

The staff are what made this stay special. Qasi and Janif were especially lovely, always smiling, friendly, and happy to help with anything. They made the place feel genuinely welcoming. The property is beautiful, with modern design and spacious rooms that are stylish but still comfortable. It has the feel of an apartment with hotel amenities, which worked really well for us. Getting around was easy, with a tram stop about 30 seconds away and train connections nearby. There’s also a supermarket a minute’s walk away. The location and the property are both excellent, and I’d love to come back.

The breakfast was delicious, and the rooms are beautiful. The inside of The July is stunning, with interiors that feel just right. The staff are warm and attentive without overdoing it. I could happily live there forever. It’s my favorite hotel, and I’d return to Amsterdam just to stay there again.
