Wittenberg by Cove

The quiet location and spacious, modern apartment made this feel like an ideal home in Amsterdam. It was an easy walk to the centre, and the value for the size and modernity was much better than expected. I had a top-floor corner unit that felt like a penthouse, with a one-bedroom layout, full kitchen, dining and living areas, and a king bed. Nia made sure I had what I needed and was so friendly. She sorted extra towels, body wash and laundry packs, and helped me book a room. The concierge was reachable by text around the clock. Thanks again, Wittenberg. I'll be back soon.

Doni was amazingly helpful the night before my sister-in-law's wedding. One of the wedding guests got injured while out walking, and since we're from the States, we didn't know how the local healthcare system worked. Doni found the nearest hospital, explained the ER process, and even called from his personal phone to get them in the queue. The staff were super friendly and made our stay memorable. The room and location also beat my expectations. We were there in May for the wedding, and the hotel was near tourist spots and fun neighborhoods, but far enough away that it was quiet at night. We'll definitely stay here again when we visit Amsterdam.

The quiet spot was close to the tram and several good breakfast places. We spent a lovely week here in November. The beds were really comfortable, everything was extremely clean, and the staff were helpful and friendly.

The view was the sole good part of our stay. We spent seven days at Wittenberg, and none of the problems we raised got a clear resolution. The apartment was cold the whole time, indoors and out. One heater stayed completely cold and didn't work, and repeated conversations with staff led to no fix. They said the heaters only run during the day and are kept at 22°C. That might be fine in summer, but in winter the apartment remained uncomfortably cold. The bed had visible stains when we arrived. The shampoo bottle was empty and only lasted a day, with no proper replacement. For our anniversary, they said they were upgrading us, but moved us into a cheaper, worse room than the one we booked. Everything fell far below expectations, and I wouldn't recommend staying here.
