YOTEL Amsterdam

We liked being away from the centre’s noise and bustle, while still having an easy ferry ride to centraal. The bar is pleasant and has a really nice terrace. Just note there aren’t any AH shops nearby, so bring your snacks from centraal. The staff were amazing, and our room was clean, though a bit small. It worked for the two of us, but there isn’t much privacy if you’re travelling with friends. There was an iron and board, a can opener, safe, hair dryer and minibar, though ours didn’t work. We gave it four stars because there’s no kettle, so no morning coffee in the room, and breakfast was fine but didn’t have much variety.

Friendly, helpful staff and a modern-looking hotel. The rooms are small, but enough for a night. We found the price good for the Amsterdam area. It’s about a 20 minute walk to the metro or the ferry into central Amsterdam, which suited what we needed. We had a great weekend stay.

The restaurant was a hit with us. The menu is small, but has something across the main bases, and housekeeping was great too. You can get a $5 restaurant voucher if you skip housekeeping. We liked being across the water, away from the bustle, with the ferry only a short walk or bike ride away. On bikes we could get wherever we wanted within 20 minutes. The staff were amazing and we really enjoyed our stay. My only wish is that the rooms had more towel hooks. I’d recommend it to vacationers.

The staff are really friendly, professional, smiling, and helpful. The hotel is very nice and clean, though the standard room is tiny. It’s fine for two people, but there are no windows for fresh air. The centre is about 20 minutes away, which works well if you like walking. Breakfast is quite limited and pricey if it isn’t included in your booking, so I’d add it.
