The location worked really well, and there was free parking. The staff were warm and friendly, the room and beds felt cozy, and there was plenty for kids to do. Everyone could use the nice lounge area. Good value for solo guests, groups, and families.

Those mattresses were uncomfortably hard, which was the one downside. The place is set in the woods, with a short walk to spots like Apenheul, a large playground, and a climbing area. There's also a small shopping centre nearby for groceries.

We hardly noticed the neighboring houses, since there were barely any guests while we were there. Our wikkel house was tucked into a green forest, with birds and squirrels right on the porch. Breakfast was generous and tasty, with local, sustainable food. Lots of activities are within a 5-15 minute drive.

The rooms are basic, but it's a hostel, so that was fine by me. I stayed for a long weekend with my child, and we had a great time. We spotted deer and boar cycling through the forest park next door before breakfast. Apenheul, the klimbos tree climbing facility, and a lovely forest playground are all walkable. The food was good and kid-friendly, with a different theme each dinner. It's a very child-friendly place, with a small playground out front, and the staff were super friendly.
