La-Perchade

For the price, this chalet is perfectly fine, even if it's nothing fancy. It's in the B&B garden and is neat and clean, with room for four. Two beds are in a separate bedroom; the other two are in the living and dining space, alongside the kitchenette. The bathroom is small but practical, with a shower, toilet, and sink. Outside, conifers surround a little terrace, so there's plenty of privacy. The basic kitchenette works well and has a fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. We'd be glad to stay again if we're nearby.

You can park right outside the house, which is handy. The host was friendly and helpful, the room had a rustic feel, and breakfast was basic.

I asked by email well ahead of time whether the B&B had availability, but they told me to check again in two months. You either have a room or you don't, and this didn't feel very customer-friendly.

We had a lovely long weekend at B&B La Perchade in Huissen. The chalet is simple, but the beds are excellent and the welcome was very warm. Breakfast was good, and there are shops and several supermarkets in the town centre. You can get around easily by bike, with beautiful cycling routes nearby; Nijmegen and Arnhem (Hoge Veluwe) are close, too. Public transport to Nijmegen and Arnhem is right outside.
