The Wi-Fi didn’t work, and when I complained, staff kept repeating, “We never have this problem,” even though other Google reviews suggest it’s happened before. After a long discussion with an easily agitated older woman, she said she’d refund me. I went upstairs for my bag, then came back down around 6 pm expecting to return the key and get the money. Instead, she snatched the key card from my hand and gave me only a partial refund. She said I’d already used the room for a few hours, though I’d only left my bags there and tested the Wi-Fi, which wasn’t working. I was leaving early that evening with nowhere else planned. An equally aggressive, slightly younger male friend was with her during the conversation. I called the police, and they logged my complaint as best they could in the circumstances. If this happens to you, I’d advise keeping the key card until you’ve seen the full refund, and calling the police to report a theft if you don’t get it. They clearly didn’t appreciate the police being called, and should take action next time.
