The place definitely needs better maintenance, but the location, people, community, and nature take you to another level. My husband, our daughter, and I stayed for a few nights. There's a nice pool that stays open all year and has hot water, plus saunas, a cold tub, and a cold shower. It's really quiet there, even with children. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for peace and beautiful nature. Not the place for a luxury vacation! ❤️😊🤓🫶🏼

The pool and its surrounding facilities were appalling. There was hair and debris in the water, dirt on the bottom, and feces smeared on the toilet walls. It felt like a serious risk to our health. Our house looked neglected and hadn’t been properly cleaned for a long time. Spider webs and dirt were everywhere, and the bedding left by the previous guests was still there. We had paid extra for six sets of sheets and duvets, but received no clean linens at all. The kitchen was also short on cutlery, with just three sets for a house advertised for six. We went to reception on two consecutive days to complain. Each time, we were told someone would come clean and take away the dirty bedding, but nobody showed up. We felt there was no accountability or service, despite being charged for things that weren’t provided. This was the worst place we’ve ever stayed. It felt like a scam and a danger to public health, and we plan to report it to the health authorities and tourism regulators. Avoid it.

We had a decent stay, and our room and bathroom were clean. The kitchen had the cutlery we needed, and we enjoyed the pool and sauna, so we didn’t have any complaints about our stay. It’s still sad to see the place declining. The park is huge, and from what I remember, it must have been much better in the past. The Google photos look old, and the amenities, including the playgrounds and roads, don’t seem to be maintained anymore. We were nervous after reading the negative reviews, but our stay itself was fine.

Getting there without a car was a hassle. The camping shop closes at 1 PM and is shut on Wednesdays, the bus stop is a 15-minute walk away along a road meant only for cars, and buses are infrequent. The nearest supermarket takes another 20 minutes by bus. The website should make clear that a car is essential. There were several basic things we had to ask for. For two people staying three days, we got just one roll of toilet paper. Sheets were supplied, but no towels, and reception told us curtly that towels aren’t provided. There was no hand soap either. When we asked, we were given one bottle, which we had to use for washing hands, showering, and doing dishes because there was no dish soap. The sponge came without soap. The website says WiFi is included, but it’s only available in public areas, a detail hidden at the bottom of the page. That felt misleading. The coffee machine was dirty and had no filters, so buying a whole pack for a short stay would have been unreasonable. We also rented two bikes for €11 a day, which was very expensive. One had a broken light, and the other had a saddle that couldn’t be adjusted, making it unusable for someone of average height. I don’t recommend this place at all.

The location works well for the Airborne anniversary weekends, and the low price was appealing. I’ve stayed here twice, first about ten years ago and then again in Sep 24. I’d probably come back for the location, but choose one of the higher-grade accommodations. The grounds and accommodation have become tired and poorly maintained, which is a shame. The grass looked as if it hadn’t been cut for months, the shops weren’t open when they were supposed to be, and some caravans were bare, dirty, and damp.
