The lake and surroundings are beautiful, but the staff weren’t very welcoming or helpful. The camper area toilets were dirty, old, and full of spiders, barely decent and looking abandoned. We left after one day. I don’t recommend it.

It’s a pity, because this campsite has potential, but it’s poorly maintained in all sorts of ways. The facilities aren’t old, yet they’re in bad shape. For campers, an electricity connection can be as far as 20 meters from the parking spot. The shop closes at 15:00 and is almost empty, with nothing useful for making a proper meal. The bread is the one good thing, warm and fresh in the morning. Pool entry often fails because of system errors. Staff know about the problem and tell you to wait five minutes and try again. I can’t recommend it. There are other campsites just a couple of meters verder, but I didn’t visit them. Some guests who went said they were much better, though I can’t judge that myself.

I paid 85 euros expecting a flat or cottage, but they sent me to sleep outdoors on a small patch of grass, with no roof or equipment. It rained, and I ended up sleeping outside. A horrible experience, the worst I’ve had in Holandia. I raised the mismatch with them and asked for my money back. They said they’d refund me because of a misunderstanding in Airbnb, but they’ve ignored me since, blocked my number, and stopped replying to emails. It’s such a shame. Never again.

The kids loved the swimming pool, and the beach was the disappointing part because it was a bit dirty. We stayed for three days in a six-person tent rented through "Rent a tent", which has tents at the campsite. Other types of camping accommodation can be found on the place’s website. The toilets and showers were clean. Remember to bring your own toilet paper. Showers cost 50¢ for five minutes, and you have to buy special coins at the lobby.
