Even from the hotel balcony, we got an amazing view of Ameland’s dark night sky. That was a lovely extra this time. We keep returning for the warm welcome, great staff, food and drinks, and fantastic bike rides around the island. Every stay feels like coming home, and it’s such a treat to relax here. Careful, though, it’s easy to get hooked! :-D

We spent two nights here and really enjoyed it. The village is very quiet, in one of the prettiest parts of Ameland. Everyone on staff was welcoming, and we thought the restaurant food was excellent.

The room was on the small side, but laid out very cleverly. During lockdown, the staff took especially good care of us: the meal and aperitif service was ingenious, and we really enjoyed eating at our own private table. A lovely place to stay.

Nobel was quiet when we stopped in for a light lunch, probably because of the season, but the staff still gave us plenty of attention. The food was fresh and arrived quickly. The setting felt traditionally local, though just around the corner from the brown cafe it became very modern.

The restaurant and service were very good, with a delicious surprise menu. Breakfast service was also attentive, including little touches to take guests’ needs into account. The location is ideal, easy to reach and in the middle of a pretty, typical village, away from touristy Nes. The hotel rooms could do with a refresh.
