The terrace is lovely for watching Dutch village life, which is quite amusing. We had a very nice lunch here. The prices were on the high side, but the service and location made up for it.

We were driving a group of soldiers on a battlefield tour and parked our bus outside while waiting for 90 minutes. We’d hoped to have breakfast before setting off, but the restaurant wasn’t due to open until 11. The manager and restaurant staff decided to cook for us anyway, and it was amazing. Really incredible service.

We stayed for 2 nights this weekend on a short holiday. Lekker dinner, classic accommodation, pet friendly, and super hospitable hosts. Highly recommended!

I come back every year, and each visit is better than the last. The Service, food and beverages, ambience, and the charm Spijker has make it a must-visit when you’re around Beek. I can strongly recommend the lamb rack that was on the menu in August 2020.

For an in-season treat, I had the asparagus menu, and it was delicious. This is the only upscale restaurant in town, with good food and reasonable prices if you stick to the menus.
